Clarendon House
Kenilworth, Warwickshire

Description

Clarendon House is situated in the centre of the Kenilworth Conservation Area in the heart of England. The original timber framed 'Castle Tavern' which is incorporated into the hotel, dates back to 1430. The tavern prospered through Elizabethan times situated on the main route to Kenilworth Castle. During the 17th century it was regularly used as a billet for Cromwell's troops during the siege of the castle. Each bedroom is elegant and comfortably furnished, all ensuite with full facilities. The centrepiece bar and brasserie are open all day and evening for fresh snacks or more substantial meals.
